Faerie Broom Blessing Ritual

Alright, first and foremost you need to make sure that you actually want to call on the faeries to bless your broom! Faeries can be tricky mischievous creatures and once they are called, they may decide to stay and throw your order into chaos. Faeries love mischief and laughter, which is great if you have kids; but can be difficult to get things done if they decide you are overly serious or even too goal-oriented. However, if a little mischief is what you need or you need a more go with the flow attitude, then this is perfect for you! Faeries can provide lots of fun, color and sparkle. Just know that YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! hahahaha.

This is the perfect little ritual for Ostara, especially with kids! I can't wait to do this with mine! Plus I kinda have a thing for faeries.
To get started...You are gonna want to take your Faerie Broom outside just before sunrise on Ostara. While facing East, arrange a small offering. You can use sweets like chocolate chips or berries, and fill little walnut shells or acorn tops with some beer, wine, ale or mead. If you are worried about ants in any way you may want to offer up some crystals, little trinkets, and water instead. (Which is what we are doing with the kids.)
As the Sun begins to rise hold your broom towards the horizon and say:

Faeries now I call on you
To help clear out the old and summon the new.
At this portal betwixt the worlds,
I beckon that magick which twirls and unfurls.
May this broom be blessed, and consecrated too,
Bringing sparkling enchantment to all that I do.

When you are finished don't verbally thank the faeries, they don't understand or appreciate the spoken word of thanks. Instead, let the offering be your thanks. (Actions speak louder than words sort of thing.)
Bring the broom to touch your heart to align yourself with its energy. If your kids have their own brooms they can follow suit, or you can have just the one touch each of them. Then sweep the air around you and those doing ritual with you, powerfully. First, move in a counterclockwise circle to clear yourself and others, then a clockwise circle to call in positivity and seal in positive energy and magick. Not only does this provide a powerful personal clearing and blessing, but it will activate the broom and further align you with its energy, while creating an additional offering to the faeries in the form of tiny tinkling sounds from the bells. (They love that). If you don't have tiny bells to add to the broom, don't fret. You can always just make sure to bring your normal bell to this ritual and give it a good ring at the end.

Once your broom is blessed what do you plan on doing with it? Obviously it isn't for physical sweeping. It's a space-clearing tool. Which is why I made sure to give you the info on Clearing a Sacred Space with Broom Magick. I just left out the part about blessing the broom first. I do apologize.
To use it, just make powerful sweeping motions in the air while moving in a counterclockwise direction through each room and area that you'd like to clear. Pretty much just follow the instructions on the previous post.
You can use this broom to quickly cleanse a space as well. Weather you are meditating, doing a spell, or really any spiritual or magickal work at all. Don't just make it and leave it hanging on the wall. It has magickal intent and purpose for a reason, Use it!
And don't forget to make sure to keep your broom's energy fresh and vibrant. Clear it periodically. You can do this by bathing it in sunlight, smudging it with sage, or palos santos. You can also refresh the consecration ritual by performing it again and again every Ostara. Turn it into a new family tradition. Or make new ones every year and start a collection. They are so adorable, you will want to make a ton!

I do hope this was helpful. If you have made a Faerie broom, done the blessing ritual, or used it to cleanse a sacred space, please let us know! We want to hear from you all!

May your light shine so brightly upon others that they too want to be a beacon unto the world!
